Rear Exhaust Muffler Heat Shield - AVAILABLE IN SHOP
December 2021:
I don’t like my boring slotted headshield that the Suzuki Cara comes with, the Autozam AZ-1 one is nice but it says AUTOZAM and I wanted to get something different than the slots.
The stock one is stamped steel and is literally paper thin so it is very flimsy.
I am getting a bunch of these blanks produced to be made available in 1/16th (1.5875mm) thick aluminum or stainless steel with powdercoating available. Then for those of you that want one you can bring it to a local machine shop or buddy with a CNC plasma cutter to cut out whatever your heart desires for the plate.

Alright, finally gotten to getting something cut out to test out the method, quality, and drawing.
Got the first one churned out, a replica of the Suzuki Cara’s heatshield. Some mistakes were made and steps could be improved but overall it came out pretty good. This is 16 gauge mirror finished aluminum.
The idea here is to be able to cut any image to have a cool custom heatshield!

April 2022:
Cut out an AZ-1 logo and a blank shaped brushed aluminum one for more practice. I may want to try to use a different machine to do this as this is kind of tedious and had a few issues with the bits. This looks pretty promising.
