How we started:

Ray bought his Suzuki Cara in 2020 and dove right into the world of restoring it to tip top shape so he can enjoy the car in good condition and not worry about any potential unknown mechanical issues. However, it was discovered that though most engine maintenance parts were still available due to the F6A motor’s popularity across other platforms, more AZ-1/Cara specific things were either low in availability, very expensive, or just not available even if you were willing to pay for it. Well I suppose, if you pay enough money you can always get something… right?

Discovering that parts would have to be custom designed and produced in order to meet his needs, it clicked in Ray’s head that: “If I want these parts, I am not the only one out here. There are other people that would love to have these parts too. Sure I can just keep to myself and just have one offs made and keep them but I want others to be able to experience and enjoy their car the way I can too.”
Ray set out to find friends and vendors that could help his journey on acquiring the parts required to build the Cara to how he would like it whilst acquiring other vehicles/projects along the way to join the journey.

Other than just buying and making stuff that Ray wanted ahem.. “needed”, he also wanted to learn everything about this particular car. Knowledge is powerful to have on any bit of machinery and tools you have. What better piece of machinery could there be than your own favorite car? Ray chose to start documenting everything from a routine oil change to a full engine overhaul via video on Youtube and started the AnythingWheeled channel for all owners and interested parties to view!

Why we are here:

After searching and discovering the difficulties of acquiring certain parts because they simply do not exist anymore, Ray decided he could get these parts remade. This is when the line “You can make anything happen if you throw enough money at it.” came about.

Between Ray and his friends, there are many skills and tools available at our disposal as we all come from different backgrounds. IT Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Mechanics, and different types of Developers to name a few. If we have the know how and tools we would try to engineer and produce things in house. Otherwise we have to reach out to local vendors that specialize in their particular fields to assist with R&D and production as needed.

After all that work is done, everyone gets to enjoy the fruits of our labor. NEW PARTS! Cosmetic or performance, we will have NEW PARTS!

Philosophy:

We are of the mindset where your modifications should not be a permanent modification of your vehicle.
Although modifications are inherently changing something, the idea here is you should be able to revert it one day if you wish and there would be no change to your vehicle. (ie: cuts, holes or missing parts)

Every day as NOS and even used parts become more scarce we want to be able to try to keep these cars on the road by adding as many things as possible to keep them looking great, have upgrades and staying functional.

We want to be the go to place for knowledge for the AZ-1 / Cara and more. English based knowledgebases will be built one at a time with information about everything possible. Everyone should be able to go to one place to find all the information about their favorite vehicles.

Any profits are returned to use for develop more parts or upkeep of this site for the community.
