Autozam AZ-1 / Suzuki Cara Bonnets/Hoods

Here you will find all the hoods you could possibly get for your car!

Original

Injection molded plastic hood found on the original car both Autozam and Suzuki.
Distinguishing features are the offset air inlet and no headlight bulge.
The original plastic ones are likely only found used. There may be new reproductions I have not seen yet.

Mazdaspeed

Fiberglass hood found on the Mazdaspeed models starting in 1993.
Distinguishing features are the larger, centered air inlet and a headlight full rounded bulge.
Reproductions are still available to buy new, they are of decent quality whereas they need a bit of touchup before final paint.

M2 1015

Fiberglass hood found on the M2 1015 models starting in 1994.
Distinguishing features are the two bull nose holes for two yellow fog lights, a larger centered air inlet, and the squared off humped headlight bulges.
These pop up for sale once in a while. This particular one in the photos has been listed for a long time at a high price.

Autogiano

Fiberglass hood made by aftermarket company Autogiano
Distinguishing features are the larger, centered air inlet and a slightly squared off headlight bulge similar to the M2 1015.
These are available new from Autogiano. you may also get headlight covers to protect the headlights and smooth out the hood.

RICE ROCKET R

Fiberglass hood made by RICE ROCKET.
Distinguishing features are the huge center vents and squared off headlight bulge similar to the M2 1015.
These are probably available new in Japan from RICE ROCKET but I haven’t found a listing. There may be used ones that pop up on YAJ.
